Dress by Night

Hello all!! Happy Hump Day! What a gloomy hump day it is, but nonetheless, the weekend is almost here! Yesterday was quite a tease here in New Jersey; we received a nice taste of Spring days ahead! Oh how I love the warm weather and the blue sunny sky! Any who, today Im posting Monday's Look from day to night. If you're ever at work or dressed business casual and need a quick transformation, here are a few things you can do to change your look from day to night. I took away the blazer and studded earrings and added hoop earrings, a waist belt, clutch and let my hair down. Since there are different strokes for different folks, you can opt for sheer stockings/tights or no leg wear at all! :-) You can also opt to change your lippie for a bolder look on your face.

Dress by Day

Hello all!! Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend? What did guys do? I know for my North Easterners, it was a lovely, warm, sunny weekend. I am patiently waiting for the day the weather actually breaks. :-) Any who, if  any of you have been following me on Instagram since last year, this dress will look familiar. Yep! its the dress from my birthday last year. I walked into H&M one day and this was the first thing I saw and I just had to have it! I haven't worn it since then, but I didn't blog about it, just posted a pic or two of it. Going through my closet one day, I decided to give another go. I really love the colors and how they blend so well. Th ePatter kind of reminds me of bubbles, but its really flowers. LOL Added my number one staple item in my closet, which is a blazer and made it perfect for an office look. Wanted to stay simple with the jewelry so, I'm wearing diamond studs and two diamond studded rings stacked on top of one another.


P.S.  Tomorrow I will be posting this same dress, but for a night look. Adding and/or eliminating some things. :-)

P.S.S. Does anyone know where I can find "skin tone" stocking tights from? Similar to the kind Beyonce wears, but without the glitter/shimmer? Thanks in advance!

Give me the Light

Hello all!! Happy Thursday!! The weekend is almost upon us; are you guys ready!? I know I am! Come on Friday 4:30pm! :inserts excitement scream: lol With that said, how's the work/school week for you guys?Any who, just another day at the office. This was actually a morning put together fit. I had no clue what to wear, so I went with my go to look; bottoms, top and a blazer! With quick thinking and agile movement throughout my home, decided to added color and break up the dark look with pearl & pearl esque accessories. The light natural colors of the accessories make the look a little softer.

Sheer Stripes

Hello all!! Happy Hump Day!! The work week is almost over! We made it over the hump and I am drained! So ready for Friday, but will take it one day at a time. Any who, Is it me or do things look that much better once they're on SALE?!?! I have seen this shirt plenty of times in my many  visits to Old Nay, but never bothered to purchase it. I guess it never tickled my fancy. Low and behold it caught my eye in the sale section and with the wonderful price of $2.97, I couldn't pass it up! That was my bargain purchase for the day and I felt cry good about it! lol Only one problem though, not sure if the stripe is peach or pale pink. So I added a little of pink, peach and corals. hehehehe Everything blends quite well I'd say.

Sweaters and Thangz

Hello all!!  How was your weekend and first Monday of the month!? My weekend was okay, not as productive as I would have liked it to be but hey lol. My first Monday of the month was pretty cool. Got a snow day from work without the snow! Winning! Took complete advantage of this free day, besides waking up at 7am because I forgot to turn off one of my alarms :-( Any who, finally got a chance to wear what I believe to be is my favorite sweater now. :-) The colors and knit is what I most like about it. I usually don't like the whole sneaker wedge look, but these caught my eye. I don't know if its they gray or style, but I dig these! I was going for a casual, dressy yet laid back look. Added some sparkling and colorful jewels and Voila!

Oooh La La!

Hello all!! How everyones Valentine's Day and weekend?? Hope it was filled with lots of love whether it was from a boyfriend/girlfriend, friends and or family or even a stranger, hey it happens!  Any who, clearly someone is still in the spirit lol. This was actually my Vday outfit for work, but after the snow fiasco, I opted out of that decision, no hesitation. I've always liked pairing the darker hues with the lighter ones, so when I found this skirt I immediately knew the color top I wanted.  I like the variation it gives, not so monotonous. Come to think of it I have a dress very similar to this two piece ensemble. :-) I guess I really enjoy this color combo as well. hehe. I didn't actually wear the blazer, it wasn't the correct style for this look. I needed a more feminine fitted/tailored blazer; this one is more of a boyfriend style.  It was draped over my shoulders to knock out the office chill today. A little blazer always completes a look!
